Ms. Crawford has over thirty years of nonprofit executive management experience. She worked as a consultant for CompassPoint Nonprofit Management and Research services and the Community Development Institute. As a consultant, Ms. Crawford provided a variety of management consultant services which included strategic planning, program evaluations, board development, and organizational transition and change management.
For Fourteen years Ms. Crawford operated her own consulting firm where she specialized in board of director’s development, strategic planning, meeting facilitations, program evaluations, executive transition, leadership development, needs assessments and developing community driven approaches for participatory research projects.
Before coming to Mental Health Consumer Concerns Ms. Crawford was the Executive Director of Progressive Research & Training for Action (PRTA) for seven years. While working at PRTA, her responsibilities included all administrative duties which consisted of fiscal management, program development, staff supervision, developing and maintaining effective collaborations with peer organizations, working effectively with a community board of directors, developing and advocating for public policies that benefits the client base, contract negotiations, developing innovative and fundable community driven research projects, developing curriculum, training a pool of consultants and identifying and securing new sources of funding.
Ms. Crawford has been recognized for her work by both local and national organizations she was inducted into the Alameda County Women’s Hall of Frame for Community Services and Chosen as one of California’s outstanding Senior Leaders in 2007/2008 by UC Berkeley School of Public Health and the California Wellness Foundation. |
