Goals of Program

• Become more empowered as a self-actualized individual
• Gain an understanding of the importance of peer support and its role in the recovery journey and the mental health system of care
• Gain a working understanding of Contra Costa County mental health programs
• Identify, develop and sustain one's personal support system
• Become aware of community resources which aid consumers in living successfully
• Assist with career exploration to develop the skills for obtaining meaningful work
• Preparation for a career in the mental health field
